We hit the ground running on our trip back to Arkansas, wanting to pack in as much as possible in the very short time we had in the state where we met.
First: Disc Golf Fun
We knew we wouldn’t have much time with all the events and catching up with friends, so we planned to arrive early and check out some of the disc golf scene. It probably is a good thing this was not an option in college as I do not think we would need another excuse to skip class. But ya’ll, we found the most amazing indoor disc course and shop! Even though it was our second disc golf stop on that Friday-I am starting the adventure memory here.
Perks and Re-creation
This place is amazing and a must-see and do for anyone travelling to Arkansas. Here is their link. They have two locations-one in Springdale and one in Little Rock. We visited the downtown Little Rock facility located in the historic Sterling building. As marketers, we tend to recognize great branding, and this store had all the creative highs for us. The counter with the turf sign, the t-shirts and all the discs for sale hit you when you first enter. This was all cool enough, but upstairs was truly the highlight of our entire weekend!  A Premier Indoor Disc Golf Course connected to the Par Bar, which made me so envious and at the same time dream of all the parties we could have at this place!
As you can see in the videos and pics below, this place is not only one-of-a-kind, but the owners are awesome and it provides so much fuun-I honestly did not want to leave. They give you four putters to play, so leave your discs. Each hole is a challenge, but your $5 entry fee gives you unlimited play. Note to all, there are cameras that show up in the bar, so that dance when I got a disc in on the first hole was broadcast in the next room….embarrassment! Seriously, I am including that video below because, as embarrassing as my victory dance is, I do want you to see how fun the place is.
They are releasing their putters next month, which honestly, I think I will be first in line. They are named after National parks and will support them as well. The first is Death named after Death Valley.

Burns Park
Note to the brave souls who do disc golf at Burns Park, you should read this sign before going in, instead of on your way out like us!!!
Seriously, there are three courses at this park. We chose the hardest of them because the others are pretty open and you can still tell that a tornado recently went through the area. That being said, we were only able to get 9 holes in as we ran out of time. It is definitely secluded, and pretty sure horror movies have been filmed on location. Yes, I am being overdramatic, and Rob should probably be the one to write this review, as he was able to park several drives. I, on the other hand, made friends with the trees, or from their view, I was not a friend. It is a beautiful area, but be prepared to go up and down hills-definitely pack the trail shoes. Also, apparently, there could have been bombs under all the leaves, but we did not blow up, so that is a bonus!
