Introduction

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.  And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. – 2 Corithians 1:20-22

There are so many beautiful truths in this scripture that you may want to re-read and commit to memorizing it. The New Covenant gives us Christ. We become co-heirs, children of God, sons and daughters of the father. Then he seals us with his own spirit as a guarantee that we are his!

It is more than God wearing a t-shirt that says He is our dad as he sits on the sideline of our days! We have the manifested glory of God within us, guiding us, leading us, loving us, forgiving us-all because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If that doesn’t make you scream, “Amen to God for his Glory,” like Paul, I am not sure what will!

Adoration

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. -Psalm 27:4

Father God, You are so gloriously beautiful. You are so pure and holy! Your faithfulness in fulfilling your promises and providing a way for us to dwell in your house all of our days is unfathomable. May we honor and praise you continually all of those days! You are so worthy of all praise and honor. Jesus is far better than we could have ever imagined to fulfill those promises and prophecy. May we forever glorify your name! Amen.

You are the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps His covenant of lovingkindness. – Nehemiah 9:32

Confession

“O Father, we are gathered before you, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, whose chosen dwelling place is with the broken and contrite, to confess that we have sinned in thought and word and deed; we have not loved you with all our heart and soul, we have not loved you with all our mind and strength; we have not even loved our neighbor as ourselves. In your mercy, deepen our sorrow for the wrong we have done and for the good we have left undone, so that we may hate our sin with a holy hatred. But, please Father, do not leave us in sorrow. With you, O Lord, there is forgiveness. In your mercy, restore the joy of our salvation; so that we may love you with a holy love. Amen. ” – Missio Dei Confessional.
